SCIENCE EDUCATION

INQUIRY. It is a buzz word in education, but has always been the starting point of science. We wonder and question. Science is the seeking of the answer to these questions through experimentation and exploration. Simple, right?
In a science class, students should question the topic at hand and pursue the answer through research, experimentation, observation, etc. Science does not claim to know it all. In fact, if it did, we'd have no need for scientists. Dialogue, challenging each other, attempting to prove and refute findings are how we find the truth; how we find the facts. Science is critically open-minded until there is enough repeatedly substantiated data to formulate a law. Be inquisitive. Seek the answers. Accept only verifiable evidence. Continue to question and wonder...never stop. Scientifically yours, Nadene
